Holiday Handmade Happiness

 

Each time I write a post I can’t help but think how fast the time has past since we last got together. I guess they do say that the older you get the faster time goes by. That’s so true.  Well here it is Thanksgiving once again.  These are the projects we made at the last workshop. I’m not sure which set and which DSP I like better, the Guilded Autumn or the Forever Greenery.  They are both so rich in color and texture, with the Guilded Autumn DSP showing off it’s beautiful copper foil and the Forever Greenery showing off all the beautiful shades of green we have to offer.  So beautiful.

 

Project recipe:

Base:

1. Cajun Craze c/s = 5-¼” x 3-½”
2. Mint Macron c/s = 3-¼” x 5″ (Emboss w/Greenery mini embossing folder)

Label:

1. Cajun Craze c/s = 3″ x 2″
2. Mint Macron c/s = 1-¾” x 2-¾”
3. Very Vanilla c/s = 1-½” x 2-½”

Middle DSP wide strip = 2″ x 3-½”

Middle DSP thin strip = 1″ x 3-½”

Die cut 2 leaves out of leaf die one in Mint Macron c/s and one in Early Espresso c/s

Use 1 Square Vellum Doily under top label

 

Card Recipe:

Card Base = Mint Macron c/s 4-¼” x 5-½”

Emboss 3-½” on right side of card only

Cut 2 strips of DSP 1″ x 5-½”

Label Base: Cajun Craze Scallop Oval Die & Very Vanilla Stitched Oval Die

Stamp and punch lots of leaves out of Very Vanilla c/s using Cajun Craze, Mint Macron and Early Espresso Ink

Die cut some leaves out of copper foil c/s

Use Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack to make the bow

Card Recipe

Card Base = Mint Macron c/s 4-¼” x 11″

Score at: 5-½”

Cut top flap at: 2-¾”

Turn card sideways

Left side Flap DSP = 4″ x 2-½”

Label Base = Mint Macron c/s (the piece you cut off the top flap) 4-¼” x 2-¾”

DSP = 4″ x 2-½”

Whisper White top label = 3-⅜” x 1-⅞” (stamp background leaves with Pear Pizzaz and Pretty Peacock Ink

Use Dimensionals to raise label

Use Old Olive ribbon and Gold thin cord

Card Recipe:

Card Base = Cajun Craze c/s 4-¼” x 5-½”

Whisper White layer = 4″ x 5-¼”

DSP = 3-¼” x 4-¾”

Punch circles out of Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze with 2-½”, 2-¼” & 2″ circle punches

Use Soft Suede and Cajun Craze Ink

Card Recipe:

Card Base = Whisper White 4-¼” x 5-½”

Just Jade c/s layer 4″ x 5-¼”

Cut 3 1″ x 5-¼” DSP Strips

Label = Whisper White Label Me Lovely & Just Jade (cut Just Jade label in ½ and stretch to fit)

Stamp label with Pear Pizzaz and Pretty Peacock
