My New Favorite Stamp Set

My New Favorite Stamp Set

Do I have just one favorite stamp set?

Of course not! They’re all my favorites

BUT every once in a while there will be one (or in this case 2) sets that just stand out and really tug at my heart and I just can’t stop using them.  Do you have your favorite (s)?  Well in this new 2021-2022 catalog I have to say that I’m obsessed with Art Gallery and Artistically Inked.  These two stamp sets are absolutely stunning.  They are so pretty and the DSP (Artistically Inked only)  is just so beautiful.  Of course, they’re both very versatile and easy to create beautiful projects with.  With a little creativity (and help from your friendly Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, yours truly)  just about any occasion card can be made with each one ……including masculine cards. Here are some projects I made using each of these stamp sets so you can get an idea of how awesome they really are.  We’ve made these cards at past workshops and have had a great time making them.

Art Gallery Stamp Set You can’t tell, but it’s an accordion card.

Art Gallery Stamp Set
Artistically Inked

Artistically Inked

I like the Artistically Inked set just a little bit more than the Art Gallery set.  Just a little ink and paper and you can create a beautiful watercolored and expressionistic looked project. Wow, I love the Polished Pink ink and cardstock I used on this card. The Shaded Spruce card is also so rich looking because of the depth and richness of the color.  Great for any occasion. Below I’ve listed the links for these items along with some additional supplies that you would need to make these cards. If you would like additional ideas for these sets, the Art Gallery set is on page 13 of the Annual Catalog and the Expressions in Ink are on page 96 and 97.

TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE THE CARDS: On the pink Artistically Inked card, make sure you “stamp off” the color for the leaves so that they aren’t super bright.  It gives the leaves a more realistic look.  Also add a dimensional under each leaf after you have curled it a bit to give it dimension. On the shaded spruce card, make sure to cut each of the print strips ¾” and the gold stripe strip ½” wide.  They should also each be cut different lengths. The gold foil leaves are cut from the long leaf die in the die set.  Cut the leaves apart and place them on the card.

On the Art Gallery card for the bundle of flowers cut a second set of flowers and glue it on top of the one you stamped and die cut in green.  This hides the green flowers underneath and leaves you with a pretty green stem and leaves, and it give a little thickness and dimension to the flower bunch! Note, I did that on both cards.

Below are the projects/cards we made a the last workshop.  We had so much fun making them and creating such great projects. I love these stamp suites/bundled sets and DSP. They are all so versatile and can be used for All Occasion Cards all year long.

The You’re a Peach Suite is super cute! I love the DSP the best and the stamps and dies have the most realistic peach blossoms I’ve ever seen

The only way to get the beautiful Pattern Party DSP, is to be a Hostess (min. $150) and you can choose this thick (48 pages total) package of very very versatile DSP. See page 171 to see the images of all the patterns

The Hand Penned Petals Suite will by far be the most popular suite in this years catalog. It’s so awesome! If there is any one suite you buy, this should be it!

The inside holds 2 note cards (that you stamp yourself) and 2 envelopes. What a nice gift for someone special
Card Wallet – What a great gift. Look at the inside of the wallet (image to the right)

This card “Wallet” doesn’t require any cutting or glue! Would you like to make one? Come to a workshop and learn how.

It’s so easy to make and such a special gift to give someone for a special occasion. I, of course used the Hand Penned Petals DSP.  This project is totally customizable, by you!

The New 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up Catalog

Is Here!

The wait is finally over! I can’t be more excited for this years catalog.  It’s so beautiful and has a whole new look to it.  There are a lot of changes and I think you too will be excited when you see it. One of the highlights of the new Annual Catalog each year are the new In Colors, this year is no exception. I can’t wait to create some fun projects using these new colors. The new In Colors are, Evening Evergreen, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent. You can see them on page 123 of the new catalog. These colors are available for 2 years.

If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to earn your business and give you a free copy of the new catalog.  Simply go to my website and request your copy today! In the meantime, you can click here to see the catalog online or click the image below.

I want to explain a few terms we use in the catalog and what they mean.  In order to understand how to maneuver through the catalog, learn these terms which will help you save money:

BUNDLE: Includes a stamp set and the matching dies or punch at a 10% discount if purchased together

SUITE: Includes a stamp set, matching dies and additional items that help you add texture and character to your projects i.e. ribbon, sequins, embossing folders and embellishments. All Suites contain different items

You can purchase all items individually or as part of the BUNDLE , with the discount (why wouldn’t you want to save 10%?) OR you can purchase everything separately from the SUITE or buy the entire suite.  The choice is yours! Ask me if you still have questions when you place your order.

We’ve been a little busy at the workshops the past couple of months, here are some of the cards we’ve made.  We’ve had so much fun making the cards, I’d like to invite you to join me for my next workshop on May 22, 2021.  Details are below, but here are just a couple of the cards for your inspiration:

Garden Wishes Bundle – Item #156220 Mini Catalog

The Garden Wishes Bundle is part of the Dandy Garden Suite Collection – Item #155981. This suite is unique because it showcases 2 Bundles, The Garden Wishes Bundle – Item #156220 and the Dragonfly Garden Bundle – Item #156224. The Suite includes a lot of great matching accessories to compliment the stamp sets.  I only used the Garden Wishes Bundle on the project above but you must see all the additional items in the suite.  They include, DSP, ribbon, ladybug trinkets, Memories and More (larger) cards with printed envelopes, laser die cut paper and a Memories and More Card Pack to match.  I love the simplicity of the card and the use of the contrasting colors. It’s also such a good set to use our Stampin’ Blends. The whole Suite is so versatile, it can be used to make a project for any occasion.

Art Gallery Bundle – Item #156227 Mini Catalog

I love the Art Gallery Bundle which is part of the Fine Art Floral Suite – Item #155982 Mini Catalog.  I can’t wait to create many beautiful projects with this amazing suite. The suite includes matching dies, textured gold ribbon, embossing folder and Gilded Leafing Embellishment. Just beautiful.  At the upcoming workshop I’m going to use the gilded leafing embellishment product to make another beautiful project. It’s going to be gorgeous so don’t miss out.

Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle – #156205 – Mini Catalog pg. 42

The Friends Are Like Seashells bundle is included in the Sand & Sea Suite – Item #155980 Mini Catalog pg. 40-42.  The suite is absolutely beautiful.  Look at this pretty card stamped on our shimmer white paper.  The matching die and embossing folder makes this card unbelievably beautiful and it’s really very easy to make.  Contact me for instructions on how to make this card.

All the Suite Collections, Bundles and Accessories are available now in our January – June Mini Catalog (until June 30, 2021). Once the Mini Catalog has ended the DSP will be discontinued as well as the bundle discount (on some bundles).  You will still be able to purchase the items but they will be sold separately at regular prices. The one product that does not carryover to the new annual catalog is the matching DSP. If you don’t have a January – June Mini Catalog, please let me know and I will get one out to you right away. Please contact me if you have questions.

That’s so true.  Well here it is Thanksgiving once again.  These are the projects we made at the last workshop. FALL IS IN THE AIR

FALL IS IN THE AIR

I love the crisp smell of the air just before the official first day of Fall, along with the colors of the Season.  I wish Fall would last a little longer.  Here in Southern California, we don’t experience much of Fall, so I try to soak it all in for as long as I can.

There is so much to look forward to as we make this turn from Summer to Fall and from SIP to FAL (free at last)! I’m SO excited go to a restaurant for lunch or dinner with family and friends, I’m also ready to go shopping and can’t wait to go to a movie (ok so that might be a while longer), But the absolute icing on the cake, and by far the most exciting business to open up is my hair salon!! Let’s just hope they don’t get closed down again.

ARE YOU A PAPER PUMPKIN SUBSCRIBER?

If not, why not? I believe it’s the best value for your money in Stampin’ Up! product.  At just $22/month you get a set of stamps, ink, adhesive and embellishments that last way beyond the use for the kit.  The ink and stamps are a great value and last, well forever!  September’s Paper Pumpkin is so awesome! Try it this month and I think you’ll agree with me about the value and the versatility of the kit each month. If you’ve been thinking about subscribing but have never gotten around to it, these next 3 months are the best time (in my opinion) to take the plunge. Click Here to order Paper Pumpkin before September 10.

Here are 4 of the cards from the last workshop. We had so much fun making these cards featuring the Flowers for all Seasons suite, the In Good Taste Suite and one of my all time favorites, Daisy Lane and of course Boho Indigo.  I love Boho Indigo so much, we’re using it again this month.  We really did have a fun time at the workshop. Check out the details for September’s workshop. Don’t miss out.

Boho Indigo Suite
I really love this Boho Indigo Suite. Using it with this fun fold card makes for a great card.

What a simple card, yet so catchy. I used the Subtle embossing folder with early espresso to create the background. I learned it from Amy Combs. It’s so cool looking.

I love love love this In Good Taste Suite!. The DSP is so amazing.

What can I say about sunflowers? I love them because just like the name they bring sunshine into the room. That’s what this card does. It’s made with the Flowers for Every Season Suite

Out of Quarantine, New Catalog Is Out Too

Out of Quarantine

and

The New 2020-2021 Catalog Is Out!

Can it be true? Yes, it’s true! we can finally start inching out a little bit and enjoy ourselves in the beautiful sunshine. While we’re not completely out of the woods yet, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is finally under a good control and very few new cases have been added since mid March. If all of us continue doing our part, we will be continuing to help control the virus.  It definitely hit some harder than others, but hard nonetheless.

We’ve changed the way we do things all the way from the way we eat, shop, work, play, dress, socialize and entertain ourselves.  We went from eating out, to cooking at home (my son learned how to use an InstaPot), shopping the malls to shopping online, working in the office to woking at home, going to movie theaters to streaming movies online. We’ve gone from going to sports to watching old games online, we’ve gone from gathering in large crowds like weddings (my son’s wedding postponed until next summer) funerals, parties, graduations to drive by celebrations and we’ve added a new fashion statement to our wardrobe, the “Mask”. Instead of asking what are you wearing tonight, we’re going to ask which mask are you wearing with your new dress?”

How has all this changed your life? Each one of us has our story albeit happy, sad, or everything in between.  All I can say is I’m still here supporting you, helping to keep you up to date with your very special hobby and love of paper crafting.  There has never been a better time than now that we can all use receiving a special card in the mail or send a beautiful card to a loved one that we haven’t been able to see for 3 months.  I’m sure that each one of us has someone in our lives that will be quarantined much longer than the average person. Let’s show them some love, the elderly and more mature. Let’s take advantage of this “down” time to create beautiful projects and not let our minds remain idle, but to use them to create good and send love. Take the time to send someone you love something from the heart that can never be taken from them, a paper hug and a written note of love, inspiration and hope.  We’re almost done, just a little longer and we’ll all be stronger.

2020-2021 Annual Catalog

Isn’t she lovely? Isn’t she beautiful? Of course I’m referring to the new 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  If you haven’t gotten your copy, let me know and I’ll get one to you right away.  I never know where to start when looking at it.  Do I start in the back and go toward the front? Do I start in the front and move to the back? Do I start in the middle and go to the front, then go back to the middle and go toward the back?  I bet you thought there was just one way, right? Well, leave it to me to mix it up a bit!

I’m going to just put it out there right here and now that I’m completely in LOVE with the Peony Garden Suite. I’ve always loved Peonies. They look so fresh, they’re fluffy and while they look very elegant, they can also look very Victorian with an an antique inspiration  The full Peony Garden Suite can be seen on pages 82-84 of the catalog.

Here are some beautiful images from the catalog showcasing the Peony Garden Suite. I love the soft yet rich look of the whole suite.

YOU’RE INVITED – HOP INTO SPRING WORKSHOP

You’re Invited

To Annabelle’s Stamping Studio’s Hop Into Spring Workshop!

Did you know that Tuesday  February 25 is Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras? That means that Easter is just 47 days later!  Wait what???? There I said it!  Don’t kill the messenger!!

What do we as stampers and crafters do when we have a Holiday fast approaching?  Well, we start to create our beautiful projects for our loved ones.  Below are pictures of the last workshop held earlier this month.  We had such a fun time.  We had a large group and met some new friends and had a wonderful time.  I want to let you know that I have 4 packs of the card “Hope your Birthday is filled with Goodness” for sale.  If you would like one, please let me know.  All the materials are cut and all the stamping is done.  All you have to do is put it together. $4 each.

Don’t you just love the Peaceful Poppies Suite? We made this beautiful card which looks like a lot of work, but actually is not hard at all.  A little different take on the buckle card.

The inside of this card makes it so rich. This Suite is so versatile.

Loving this super easy “make your own background” card made also with the Peaceful Poppies Suite. The colors in the DSP are amazing together.

This is the card that I have extras of.  It’s made with our Free DSP in Sale-a-Bration and the Free Lily Pad stamp set and matching dies.

Look at the inside and what a few folds can do to a card to make it look amazing.

Again the awesome Peaceful Poppies set, just a bit more subdued in color.  Again the DSP makes this card pop!

I really loved making this card as well.  It’s so easy and made with some Free Sale-a-Bration items.  The “Happy Birthday” cake set is Free, but you can use it for way more than birthday cards. A wedding card comes to mind!

You can see we were busy at the workshop.  If you’d like to join the fun here are the details for the March Workshop:

FEBRUARY IS FOR FUN

FEBRUARY IS FOR FUN

WE’VE BEEN BUSY

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost the end of January and the first month of the new year gone! Just like that. How has the new year been going for you? Have you kept your resolutions? Have you gotten organized and ready to take on the new year? Hopefully you all have done something productive this past month, and have started to make a difference.

On January 11 we had a very fun and successful workshop. I decided to start the year with getting a head start on our Valentine’s Day cards.  We made 3 Valentine’s Day Cards and 2 All Occasion cards.  I love all the sets we used for all the cards but I especially favor the Painted Poppies set.  This is the new breakout set of the year! If there is only one set you purchase this year, it has to be this one! The coordinating colors are brilliant and the patterns in the DSP is amazing.  There probably isn’t any occasion card you can’t make with it.  Here is what we made with this amazing set.

BUCKLE CARD

This type of card is called a Buckle card.  The green striped flap slides into a punched out slot underneath the large poppy to create a buckle. This holds the card closed.  The sentiment and the stamped poppies are on the inside and outside of the card which gives the card nice dimension. Click on the product links below and get your supplies to make this beautiful card. (cased card, not my original design)

Product List

One of the best items (in my opinion) in the Sale-a-bration Brochure this year is the Golden Honey Bee SDSP pack.  It contains foil paper and such great designs.  One of the best things is that Stampin’ Up! has created a stamp set bundle (Click Product List Link below) to match, and of course it’s adorable.  Here is the Bee card we made at the workshop.

BEE CARD

These are just two of my favorite cards we made at last month’s workshop.  Below is your invitation and all the details for February’s workshop.

SALE-A-BRATION

Sale-a-Bration is still going on! Have you seen the new 2020 Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration Brochure? If you don’t, have a demonstrator, I’d love to earn your business.  Contact me today for your own copy of each of these catalogs.

NEW: Starting February 4, Sale-a-Bration will be introducing “COORDINATION PRODUCT RELEASE“, until March 31.

Shhhhh, I call it “Sale-a-Bration Coordination”, I like that it rhymes….  What is “Coordination Product Release?”  Click Here to see exactly what it’s all about.  Stampin’ Up! has taken some of the items in our Sale-a-Bration Brochure and created matching die cutters for the sets. They’ve also included a package of DSP and some of those new dies, cut out the images on the DSP.  It makes everything so easy and it makes Sale-a-Bration all the more exciting! ALSO, when you order any of the items in Coordination Product Release, your purchase counts toward the FREE Sale-a-Bration items.  It’s a total win-win!! Notice that the flyer indicates “While Supplies Last”, don’t miss out!

DID YOU KNOW?

That some of the items in the Mini 2020 catalog have matching items for FREE (orders of $50 or more) in the Sale-a-Bration brochure?  For example: The Honey Bee Bundle #153792 on pg. 30 of the Mini Catalog coordinates with the FREE Golden Honey Bee Specialty Designer Paper #152311 pg. 10 of the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Sending You Thoughts #152297 pg. 11 Sale-a-Bration Brochure coordinates with two (or more) sets in the Mini Catalog: Forever Blossoms #153781 pg. 16, Timeless Tropical #153811 pg. 40 and the Heartfelt Bundle #153775 pg. 10.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

WELCOME TO THE

ROARING 20’s!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season.  It really does go by so fast doesn’t it?  Well it’s now a brand new year AND a brand new decade!  I can hardly believe it’s been 20 years since we were all worried about Y2K!  Do any of you remember that, and how we all thought our computers were going to crash at the stroke of midnight December 31, 1999? Boy have come a long way with technology haven’t we?

One of best things about a new year is we get to take a fresh look and get a fresh start on everything AND we have Sale-a-Bration! How can we not be excited about Sale-a-Bration and the brand new January-June Mini Catalog (Mini)? Today was the first day of the catalog going live to customers.  Click here to see the online version of the new Mini!

Along with the new Mini catalog is the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.  Most of you that have been my customers for a while know that this is an awesome time of year.  It’s kind of like an extended version of Christmas.  For every $50 you spend (level 1) excluding shipping and tax, you can choose items from the Level 1 category.  Also for every $100 you spend (level 2) excluding shipping and tax, you can also choose certain items from the Level 2 category. Click here to view the online version of the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.  You’re going to love all the great items we have to offer in Sale-a-Bration. Sale-a-Bration runs through March 31, 2020!

What’s Your Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition?

Submit your favorite Thanksgiving Tradition

and enter to win a $10 Annabelle’s Stamping Studio

gift card!

I love my family’s Thanksgiving tradition.  For about the past 40 years we’ve been going to Santa Maria to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her family.  It’s so awesome to see how although the tradition has stayed the same, things have changed a bit because of things changing in our family dynamic. While we used to have dinner at my sister’s house in Santa Maria, we now go to San Luis Obispo to have our dinner at her daughter’s house.  She’s grown and has children of her own and she now carries on the tradition that her mom and dad started so long ago. My sweet mamma moved to Santa Maria 15 years ago so our time is extra special during Thanksgiving. We always have so much fun. I can’t wait to go up every year.

I will be doing a drawing on Tuesday November 19th for a $10 Annabelle’s Stamping Studio gift card to be used on Stampin’ Up! product.  Just in time for Stampin’ Up!’s Online Extravaganza.  See details below!  Don’t miss out on submitting your favorite tradition as I will close submissions on Monday November 18 @ 10 pm pst.  This drawing for the $10 gift card is for my customers only.  If one of my downline wins, you will receive the new My Ready Reference Guide.

ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA

Our annual Online Extravaganza will be held November 20-22, 2019.  More details will follow next week when the details are made available to all of us. Check Annabelle’s Stamping Studio’s FB page and Instagram page for all the details.  There will be a lot of good deals to be had.
