Beginning Friday February 16, Stampin’ Up! is releasing some new free items to choose from during Sale-a-Bration (February 16 – March 31, 2018).  We still have a lot of time left to earn all of the great products we have to choose from, but now we have even more to choose from.

I’m posting the new Sale-a-Bration Brochure so you can start your wish list.  Stampin’ Up! is offering 2 items in Level 1 category (free w/$50 purchase) and they’ve added a set of 2 items for Level 2 (free w/$100 purchase).

All the choices in this release are so nice.  I love the Eclectic Expressions stamp set (Level 1 category), I also love the Springtime Foils Speciality DSP (Level 1 category)  and I’m really loving the Blossoming Basket Bundle in the Level 2 category.  Check out the brochure for the great ideas they’ve come up with using these products.  Of course I want them all!

What I like about the samples that they show in the brochure is that they’ve used some product from the first release items and paired them with some of the product from this brochure to make some really cool items.  I think my favorite item in this brochure is the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  It is so cool looking and adds so much dimension to any project.  Do you remember what “Dynamic” means when we’re talking about our TIEF’s? It means that you can spritz your card stock with a little water and then run it through your Big Shot and it will give you a really deep and “Dynamic” impression.  It really does add lot of texture and personality to your project. Say What? What is a Stamp-a-ma-jig?

How to use your Stamp-a-ma-jig
 
What exactly is a Stamp-a-ma-jig anyway? I used to have one a long time ago when I first started stamping, about 23 years ago.  I loved it then and I think over the years I’ve misplaced it.  But as I’m getting just a little older for some reason I can’t seem to be able to line up my stamps as well as I used to.
 
Well Stampin’ Up! has carried this adorable, affordable and easy to use little tool called the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  It’s a stamp positioner and it’s made especially for perfectly aligning your stamps when you’re masking or wanting to add stems to flowers, antennae to insects or anything that you have 2 stamps for and want to make sure they line up just perfect.
 
For example I made this cute card with butterflies on it.  The little tiny antennae needed to be placed just perfectly on the small stamp.  Most people would get frustrated with such a small placement and since I was using a wood set (which I get if I have a choice) I couldn’t be sure it would line up perfectly.
 
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and viola it was perfect!

It’s Not Too Late!

How are you all doing right about now? In the middle of the last push/rush to get everything done for the big day?  Hopefully everyone has gotten pretty much everything done and are ready. I can’t buy some things for our dinners until Saturday because I don’t want them to go bad before Christmas eve and Christmas day. I do have all my wrapping to do but I put most all of my gifts in gift bags and it makes it so much easier and I like the look of the bags.
 
It’s Not Too Late!
I wanted to let you all know about a few things that you might want to think about if you still have some last minute gifts to buy!  How about a “GIFT CERTIFICATE” from Annabelle’s Stampin’ Studio?  There is still time for me to get it to you. I want to remind you that you can still reserve a Stamparatus!  The first round of reserved Stamparatus’  will be in on or around February 1, 2018. The second reservation round goes from December 1 to December 30 which is next Saturday.  If you order now on the second round of reservations they will begin shipping on March 19.  There is no limit on how many reservations they will take for the second round so you will definitely get it if you order by December 30.  Go to my online store and click on Stamparatus “Reserve Now” to reserve yours.  You card will NOT charged until it ships in March. Stampin’ Up! simply needs your credit card number to hold your reservation.
 
 
New Year News!
 
Keep looking here on my blog for the first workshop in 2018!  I can’t believe it’s almost 2018!  Where have the years gone? I’m going on my 24th year with Stampin’ Up!. Stampin’ Up! is celebrating it’s 30th birthday this year.  I think they’re planning some fun things for all of us this year.  We’ll be celebrating in Orlando, FL next November with a big 30th birthday party.   Time really flies.
 
I’m really looking forward to the new year and to all of the fun things I have planned for our workshops in the New Year.

Here’s a card I made from the Color Me Happy Project Kit!  I like the way you can color with a lighter touch or add more color or lift some color to add shading!  They’re so smooth and easy to work with.



 
 
 
 
October Workshop Re-Cap

 The October workshop was so much fun.  We used the new Embossing Paste with our Decorative Masks to make these 2 backgrounds.  I think the results are so cool.  I like the tone on tone white but you can add a little bit of re-inker ink to color the paste before you apply it to give it a little pop of color. Vertical Greetings is such a nice twist to the traditional formatting of words.


 

 

 

I really like the white branches from the Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies. They make the tree look flocked or covered with snow.  It’s a super easy card to make but yet it looks like we spent a lot of time making it.  I also like the little bit of bling and pearls. I love white on white. So cool. I punched the silver stars out of our silver metallic card stock.



 

I had to make a fun Harvest, Fall and Pumpkin card.  Since everyone is in love with Pumpkin Spice Latte’s I decided to go with this fun “Merry Cafe” set. I love the set because it coordinates with our “Coffee Cups” framelits from our annual catalog and another wonderful set that has some beautiful leaves thinlits is the “Seasonal Layers Thinlits” featured in our annual catalog.




 

The “Night of Bethlehem” card was so easy to make with the Bethlehem Edgelits.  You place the edgelits on the edge of the cardstock so it doesn’t cut that edge which creates the bottom of the image.  I also like the contrast of colors.
