Just thought I’d put this out to you to think about before Sale-a-Bration ends on Friday.  When you order your stamp pads do you order the ink refills? If not, now is the time to do so. I’m specifically focusing on the 2015-2017 “In Colors”. They will be retiring in June of this year so you’ll need to get them before they are gone. Same goes for the card stock and all the “In Color” embellishments.  As for the ink refills there are so many great uses for them. Here are just a few ideas:

  1. Watercoloring (with aqua painters or blender pens)
  2. Color mixing for a custom color (for use as watercoloring or highlighting)
  3. Make custom color ink spots (for stamping images)
  4. Marbling Technique (with shave cream view video below)
  5. Baby Wipe Technique
  6. Color the edges of a card or project to add just a pop of color (use sponge daubers)
  7. Use a few drops in our ink spritzer for a splattered look
  8. Dye ribbon any color you’d like

The 2015-2017 “In Colors” that will be retiring this June are:

Cucumber Crush

Delightful Dijon
Mint Macron
Tip Top Taupe
Watermelon Wonder

Here are the links for some of the items for the 2015-2017  “In Colors”.  I’ve included some helpful stamp accessories that would be fun to have to try new and fresh techniques.

March Madness Workshop 3/18/17

March Madness
Workshop 3/18/17

What a fun workshop we had yesterday.  It certainly turned out to be a fun March Madness event.  We made 5 projects pictured here.  We were having so much fun that I didn’t get a chance to take “in the making” pictures.

Let me know which one is your favorite.  Of course I love them all, but that Glimmer paper is addicting.  Enjoy the projects and let me know how perhaps you would change them up to add your personal touch to each card.

How cute are my workshop peeps!  Kristin Christensen, Janet Tentler and Sue Ruttenberg! Boy did we have a lot of fun.  There were more in attendance but like I said we were so busy creating, these were taken after some people left.

Lani (pictured), Carol and Leslyn are my buds from high school!  I won’t say how long that has been but I have to tell you that it’s the most wonderful thing to spend quality fun time with friends who you value and respect so much to keep them in your life for that long.  We re-connected after 39 years (Lani and Carol) and it feels like we never lost touch.  More memories made here!

Don’t you just love this Mini Gift Box made with our beautiful Floral Boutique DSP. I love love love the Night of Navy and Whisper White colors.

Envelope Gift Card Holder!

Thanks so much Jill Olsen and her team for sharing this cute gift card holder.  Of course you can make it for any occasion.  Who doesn’t love a gift card? Oh btw, it’s made out of an envelope! Yes, Really!!!

This adorable bunny card was inspired by our Artisan Team. I changed it up a bit by adding a mini cotton tail and a pop of color to the background.  How cute is that?

I love this card.  I CASED it from Patty Bennett another amazing Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  It’s so easy to make your own lace doily with glimmer paper to add a bit of bling!

This card was CASED and inspired by an International demonstrator (France I believe).  I will get her name and give her credit.  Even thought I could not read a word of her instructions I think it turned out perfectly as she intended it to look.  You can’t tell but the dragonfly is cut from silver foil paper.  So pretty and delicate.

Gift Packaging

Easy

Gift Packaging

Have you ever had your gift all ready to go but realize you don’t have the correct size box or bag to put it in? Or it’s a totally special gift and you’d like the packaging to be super special as well?  Maybe something unique not the same old same old bag or box?

To give you some ideas I’m starting a short series on Gift Packaging.  The two videos in this post will be on gift boxes. Next week I’ll show you how to make gift bags out of DSP with and without our Gift Box maker.  Again the gift bags will be very customizable in colors and sizes.

Stampin’ Up! put this video out last Fall using holiday Designer Series Paper (DSP), but of course you can use any of our 12 x 12 DSP or cardstock.  We have 50 colors of cardstock and a large variety of DSP from which to choose.  Take a look at this easy video and you’ll never want to spend money on a plain box or gift wrap again!

Make sure you watch the entire video because she shows how to make custom size boxes to fit your packages perfectly!  AND it’s so easy!

A special thanks to Brenna Baumy for voting for gift packaging to be featured in my Blog series. Also a huge Congratulations to Brenna for her new little angel Stella!

CUTE and EASY
DSP
Mini Box
(because good things come in small packages)

Here’s another super easy box that I thought you might enjoy making.  It’s really simple and very fast to make. I love using Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make this box but if you’d like you can use cardstock.  I did find that using cardstock makes a nice firm box, but it is a little harder to work with but very doable. At any rate, use what you like and what works best for your gift. The size for the top of the box in my video is 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. The bottom of the box is 8 x 8.  That is the trick to any size box that you want to make. The top always has to be 1/2″ bigger than the base or bottom of the box.  So go for it and make the size you need.  Hope you like it.
Stay tuned for next week’s post for some more great gift packaging ideas.  As promised I will show you how to make gift boxes and bags with our Gift Box Maker and or Gift Bag maker.  I’ll also have a video from Stampin’ Up! on how to use the Window Box Thinlits.  We made those cute boxes at our last workshop.

Remember to leave me your comments below on how you liked the videos.  If you leave a comment by March 29 your name will be put in for a drawing for a special gift!

Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration

It’s on now!
Sale-a-Bration and
2017 Occasions Catalog
When Stampin’ Up! released it’s 2017 Occasions Catalog (1/4/17 – 5/31/17) and began our annual Sale-a-Bration Promotion (1/4/17-3/31/17) I got a glimpse of both catalogs and I went crazy because as usual I wanted to have everything in it!  After going through it many times I realized that was not possible, so I picked out some of my favorite products and began to design.  I want to share with you what I’ve come up with…. and at my January and February workshops we’ve had so much fun creating with these sets and embellishments. Of course, we didn’t come up with everything that can be made with these great sets, but I think these are some really adorable projects. Let me know what you think!  Click the links to start adding to your shopping cart!
Balloon Adventures and Happiest of Birthdays

Cool Treats!

Cool treats is a really fun set.  At first I thought I wouldn’t really use it and of course when I got it I thought this set is not just for making kids cards but it’s really very versatile and I think those sprinkles are so fun.

Happy New Year – 2017!

Hello Everyone – Wow it’s 2017 already. I can hardly believe it!  I’m so excited to see what this year has for me and Annabelle’s Stampin’ Studio. I know that a new year has a different meaning for all of us, so I’m hoping that you have had time to put your decorations away and began to make your plans for the new year and perhaps started on those plans and goals.
My goal for the new year and my new beginning is almost ready to go. I’m branding my Blog with new artwork and am so excited to launch it later this month. It’s really going to be so beautiful and so much easier to use I can wait for you to see it.  I’ve been working on it for the past couple of months and I think you are going to love it! Watch for it soon……
Another fun thing at the beginning of every new year for me with Stampin’ Up! is our new Occasions Catalog and our Sale-a-Bration promotion.  As you know Stampin’ Up! has 3 catalogs each year. The “Big” Annual catalog that runs from June 1 through May 31 each year.  For our holiday season we have our Holiday Catalog which runs from September 1 through December 31. The Holiday Catalog focuses on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Our Occasions Catalog  focuses on Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Weddings, Babies and Father’s Day which runs from January 4, 2017 to May 31, 2017.  I’ve posted links to both the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration catalogs below for you to browse and shop. Let me know if you have any questions.
It’s an exciting time of year for me because there’s nothing that I like more than free stamps and supplies to start my new year and a fresh beginning to creating new and fun projects.
If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like your own free Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalog, please contact me right here on my blog and I will get one out to you right away.  For my existing customers you will get one at the next workshop on January 21. Below is an invitation to my next Workshop. Spots are filling up fast but I have a few left so contact me today to save your spot.
I’d like to ask a favor of you…..If you haven’t already done so, would you click on the link “Follow me by Email” on the right of this post and encourage your friends to do the same? By doing so, you will get all the latest news with Stampin’ Up! and Annabelle’s Stampin’ Studio in one email. In a few easy steps you will get every post from my Blog without having to go anywhere to find it . You will also have access to all my ideas, techniques and samples and all my YouTube videos without having to go to YouTube separately. It’s all my content in one spot. You will also receive my monthly specials and can access my online store where you can place your order 24/7. How cool is that? I only post about once a week so you won’t be inundated with emails. I appreciate your support and will strive to make my Blog chock full of useful information and I will build up an excitement in you to begin creating and develop your creative side.  It’s really very easy when you have the right tools and the right inspiration!
Cheers to 2017 – Happy New Year!

It’s Almost That Time of Year!

How Can That Be?
Is it possible that in just a few weeks we’ll be in full shopping and celebratory mode for another Holiday Season?  Well it doesn’t seem possible but it is reality for sure.  The few weeks that we have left to prepare for Thanksgiving are short and before you know it Christmas rolls around so fast that we don’t know what hit us. Let’s approach this Holiday Season with Tidings of Comfort and Joy!
That’s what this sweet card is telling us.  Is there someone you’d like to give a small gift to or show your gratitude for during this busy time?  Well this is the perfect card for that.  It’s really very easy to make and looks like you put your whole heart into it.
As I’ve been telling you in my prior posts, the Christmas Pines along with the Pretty Pines Thinlits dies make for yet again a pretty card.  I had to do another one just to let you see how versatile this set is.  I like how it’s a little subdued with neutral colors but yet pops with the beautiful gross grain ribbon.
Here’s how to make this fun card:
Stamp Set:
  1. Christmas Pines
  2. Thinlits Dies (Pretty Pines)
Supplies:
  1. Crumb Cake cardstock
  2. Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack
  3. Garden Green ink pad
  4. Very Vanilla cardstock
  5. Garden Green cardstock (scrap)
  6. Cherry Cobbler cardstock (scrap)
  7. Old Olive cardstock (scrap)
  8. Chocolate Chip cardstock (scrap)
Accessories:
  1. Delightful Dijon from 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack
Assembly Instructions:
Crumb Cake card base is 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, Very Vanilla is 5-1/4″ x 4″, Plaid paper is 5-1/2″ x 3-1/4″, Crumb Cake small piece is  2-3/8″ x 2-7/8″, Very Vanilla cardstock (for greeting) is 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4.  Cut out pine branches out of Old Olive, Garden Green and Delightful Dijon paper along with holly berries out of Cherry Cobbler paper.  Layer all papers and attach pine branches along with holly berries.  Add ribbon before mounting greeting.  Add your special touch with a bow made from Delightful Dijon ribbon.

October 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit and Alternatives

October 2016 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
It’s was so easy to create this simple and clean line alternative to October 2016’s Paper Pumpkin.  Sometimes less is more

Here’s another example of an alternative card using some ink with daubers to color the leaves and give it a geometric feel.  I made good use of the negative pieces to create something very light and airy as the leaves themselves.
Here is the original October 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit with a card made as the instructions stated.  I love it as well but I had to try and think outside the “Red/Orange box” if you know what I mean.  I love the sequins in this shaker card.  They are 3 different sizes.  Who doesn’t love a shaker card?
