It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
I LOVE Fall!  There I said it!  I love the crisp air, I love the colors of the season (even if we don’t get a great change in CA), I love that it’s not yet time for a heavy coat, I love the comfort foods, I love the chance to make and try some Fall flavored coffee and drinks, I love that students are back in school which makes vacations sites less crowded, and lastly I like that things have slowed down a bit before the rush of the Holiday Season, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years is not quite yet upon us.
 
Along with all of the above things I love about Fall, I also love the fact that during this time I can re-group and spend a little more time stamping and creating.
 
I’ve been playing around with my September Paper Pumpkin kit and here are two fun cards that I came up with:
For this first card I’ve added our Burlap Ribbon to the card.  I think it makes a cute backdrop for the greeting. I like the layering of they different types of leaves for the focal point for this card.  I didn’t think that Cajun Craze over Blushing Bride ink pad colors would be such a great combination of colors for this Fall card.  Look at the cute Crushed Curry clothes pins and the metallic copper bakers twine.  The artists for Paper Pumpkin really come up with some very unique embellishments.
For this card I used the Petal Burst TIEF (Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) to create the background and I think it looks so cool and it’s so easy to do with the TIEF.  I added the enamel dots to the greeting to make it look like it’s attached with brads. This is one set of stamps that I’m going to use a lot after the Paper Pumpkin kit is finished.

OCTOBER WORKSHOP


Check your calendar, save the date, make your plans and RSVP to the Workshop. We always have so much fun. We laugh, we eat, we create some great projects but most of all we meet new friends and spend an afternoon creating something that maybe we didn’t think we could make. Also we’re making the projects from our heart to give to someone who may just need to hear from you or needs a pick me up. Here are all the details:

Includes: All supplies for 5 projects. We will be making 5 all occasion cards, not necessarily with a holiday theme. (If you would like one of the cards or projects to be Halloween themed, let me know and I will make a project for you to choose from), lunch and door prizes.
