March Madness Workshop Recap

This month the March Madness

Workshop was so much fun!

Have you ever planned an event and did everything that needed to be done, checked everything, reviewed everything and when time comes for the event you realize, I’m totally ready and everything is going to be just right?  Well that’s exactly what happened yesterday at the March Madness Workshop!

It was so much fun and everyone loved the projects. In fact they were “wow’ed” at two of them in particular. These projects were so much fun to make and once they put them together you think, “That was so easy and the finished cards have a fun twist to them.”  Thank Amy Combs for the designs and ideas.

The highlight of the workshops each month of course are the projects, but this month we had a special St. Patrick’s Day treat from my good friend Carol.  She made cake pops with white frosting and green sparkles.  They were so good! Carol is such a good baker……think back to the wonderful Christmas cookies she made! Thank you Carol.

Here are some pictures of the projects we made and of the ladies being very creative.  Sorry I missed taking a picture of the cake pops.

This card was made with the free Sale-a-Bration Cake Soiree Memories & More kit, some Wink of Stella, white doilies and voila! We used the Thank You stamp from the Petal Palette set. Super super simple but so pretty.  The picture doesn’t show the  beauty of the Wink of Stella.  I love love love Wink of Stella. It gives just the right amount of shine and glitter.

This is one of the fun fold cards we made. Again very easy to make, but a really cool result and a “WOW” card! We used the blends on this card.  Boy are they ever fun to work with.  They blend so smoothly there are so many ways to use them and you can even clean up a little mess if you happen to color outside the lines. The Petal Palette stamp set along with the Petals and More Framelits dies are the perfect fit for using the Blends.  You have to try them.

This is the card when it is folded. A regular 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2 card to fit in a regular envelope.

Do you need a greeting card that will hold a gift card? Birthday, Graduation, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day? Then this is the card for you. We made this sweet birthday card using the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and some of the most fun festive colors we have. It’s also a fun fold card and just a little stamping and a whole lot of “How did you do that?” Super Cute! See the picture below for the inside where you can see the spot for the gift card.

Do you see the gift card holder just above the green ribbon tucked under the DSP. Again, super easy and super cut

In this project we again used the free Sale-a-Bration Cake Soiree Memories and More kit. The Memories and More kits are way more than simply creating your scrapbooks and keeping your memories safe. All the cards match our ink, paper, embellishments so whipping up a card is easy peasy!

This card as with the Thank You card above, it’s all about the Blends. Are you beginning to see how versatile the Blends are and what great shading you get from applying the color in the right place. Did you know that you can color almost anything with the Blends? For example, we carry white dots and you can use the Blends to color the dots to match the project. Who knew right? You just have to get the Blends! You won’t be sorry.

March Stamping Madness Workshop

Hello Stampers and Crafters:

Wow how this past month has flown by.  Every year in January the month seems to go by rather slowly for me.  I know it’s a long month and all, but the minute the end of the January rolls around, all of a sudden it’s March!  Where does February go? Once Valentine’s Day is over it seems like time just picks up speed and doesn’t stop!  Here it is already almost the middle of March, well not really but by the time the next workshop comes around it will be past the middle of March.

I want to personally invite you to join us as we gather together and start to make our Spring cards, Easter Cards and get a head start on ideas for Mother’s Day cards.

Re-cap of the Fall into Fall Workshop!

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WORKSHOP!

What a fun time we had at the Fall into Fall workshop on Saturday. We made 6 projects, had lunch, met new friends, connected with some old friends and made some adorable projects. It was a win win…… We used the most versatile sets all of which, except one, have come from the new Holiday Catalog. We used some really cool embellishments and color combinations.  I think you’ll love them as much as we loved making them. Take a look at our finished cards and projects below:

PAINTED AUTUMN SUITE
(Off the Rails a bit)

It’s fun to go off the rails a little like we did with the blue sunflower “I’m Thankful for You” card.  I cased the idea from Carol Read on Pinterest. I’m just loving the beautiful gingham Night of Navy ribbon that makes the card pop.  It looks like it was a little difficult to make, but it was really easy.  I love how the light blue and the dark blue colors give the sunflowers so much dimension.  We actually made our own DSP and decided ourselves what type of leaves, out of the set we wanted to use. I think it’s striking and elegant in a way.

PAINTED AUTUMN SUITE
(Traditional)

I want to thank Amy Combs for the idea for this really simple traditional sunflower card. I saw how beautiful her card was and I decided to take the idea and change things up a bit.  The burlap ribbon is fun to work with, but just an FYI, it’s on back order until mid October, but if you want it, go ahead and order it an you’ll be one of the first to get it when it comes back in stock.  I’m loving the Painted Autumn Suite because it’s so versatile and so is the Painted Autumn DSP.  Note that this is the same set I used on the blue card above but the idea that Amy cut the sunflowers out of the 12 x 12 sheet and then fussy cut around them is such a genius. I didn’t think I would ever enjoy fussy cutting again, but actually it was kind of fun. I think the Metallic Enamel Shapes add the perfect touch.  What do you think?

SPOOKY NIGHT SUITE
(Card and Mini Treat Box)
Each year I look forward to seeing the new designs that Stampin’ Up! comes up for the Holidays.  Their ideas are always awesome, and this year is no exception.  Look at this adorable owl perched in the tree. This particular DSP sheet is made to have you cut out the 3″ x 3″ tree squares. The owl fits perfectly in the tree with her adorable hat (also cut from the DSP)  Another cool idea, turn the tree 1/4 turn clockwise, and you’ll be able to punch a black cat out with the Cat Punch and put it in the tree. You gotta love the Cat Punch!  And how cute are the Tiny Treat Boxes? They’re just the right size for a little treat.  They’re super easy to decorate and fun to receive. There’s the Cat Punch! Ha I just love her bedazzled choker.  I used the Vintage Crochet Trim and the rhinestone accents to make her choker. I think she’s super cute.  Used DSP as the belly band for the box and you’re done.  I’d say the Spooky Night Suite is a huge hit this year.

I had to include some glitz and shine to the projects for this workshop.  I fell in love with this gorgeous Year of Cheer Suite. It works for a whole lot of occasions. It’s wintery enough for Christmas, glitzy enough for ringing in the New Year, and elegant enough for beautiful  wedding projects.  In this project I decided to simply go with a “For You” card to show that you can also make a general greeting card. It’s clean and simple but yet has a real wow factor to it.  I used “Vertical Greetings” for the words and that snowflake is just so pretty. I don’t think you can add too much bling to the card.  It just keeps shining!  P.S. I’m going to have to work on taking a good shiny sparkly picture with my iPhone.  The picture does not do this card justice.

Year of Cheer Total glitz

WHOLE LOT OF LOVELY SUITE

This card is really “A Whole Lot of Lovely” isn’t it?  It’s made with the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite featured in our Annual Catalog on page 86-87. The colors are striking yet soft and the Dynamic Leaves TIEF (embossing folder) is so cool.  To get the gorgeous deep embossed look on the card, first spray the card with a light mist of water, then run it through the Big Shot. You can see how deep the leaves are embossed into the paper. Such a beautiful result and such an easy technique.  Gotta have it!  Thank you Janet for designing such a beautiful “Thinking of You” card.

CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE WORKSHOPS?

Do you love the projects we make each month at my workshops? Do you work on weekends, or have other commitments that prevent you from attending?

Well I have the perfect solution for you. You can now purchase the projects that we make each month and make them on your own at your own leisure. I started this option a couple of months ago (unofficially) because each month I had some requests for the projects because they couldn’t make it to the workshop.

If you let me know by Thursday before the workshop you can order your packets.  You will receive all the materials we use at the workshop pre-prepped and ready to be put together. The cost for the materials pack is $15*.  No more FOMO! (Fear of missing out) except I can’t package all the fun we will have at the workshop and of course the awesome lunch and door prizes!

* For kit based workshops the price will vary depending on the cost of the kit

KEEP CHECKING THIS BLOG FOR THE NEXT WORKSHOP DATE!

Please forward this email (Blog Post) to a friend that you think might be interested in Annabelle’s Stampin’ Studio’s updates.  Ask them to “Follow Me By Email” (button in my blog).  All they need to do is enter their email and they will receive all updates!  Thank you so much!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Workshop Recap!

We had such a great time on Saturday when I held the Soft Saying All-Inclusive Card Kit Workshop.  The comment I heard was, “I like that we each had our own card kit and we’re able to wok at our own pace.

That’s exactly what I loved about this kit as well.  Everything is included in the box (except the glue which I provided) so everyone had everything they needed to make these beautiful cards.  They’re all designed and ready to go, so we spent the afternoon enjoying ourselves and having such a fun time.  You can even buy a refill for this kit if you want more than 2 each of 10 designs! Order below!

This is Noelle showing off one of the kit favorites. I like the lattice on the card and the glimmer paper gold leaves

This is Kristin making the extra card I had for the group to do.  The card looked so complicated to make but it was so easy.  It was made with the Oh so Eclectic set, the Naturally Eclectic DSP and the Pretty Label Punch.  Shown below

I CASED the card from the front of the Annual Catalog.  I didn’t have the Pool Party Bakers Twine they used so I kicked it up a notch and added Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.  I like mine better.  :0)

This is another card from the kit.  Very simple but it really pops with that gold glimmer paper.

This is Lani and Corina (SIL’s).  They both have such a talent for creating something different or what I like to call “off the rails” with the supplies provided.

The kit comes with full color easy to follow instructions

Don’t you just love this card display holder? I got it from Magnolia.  It was on sale and I had a first time buyer discount of 15%.  I got a great deal on it.  It’s actually a chips holder for a restaurant but it actually works great for displaying cards

Well I couldn’t forget to show probably the best part of the workshop, the food.  Look at that great looking fruit.  We had Subway sandwiches, chips and cookies for dessert

6-10-27 Creativity Your Way Catalog Launch Recap

Creativity Your Way 2017-2018 Catalog Launch Recap

Yesterday’s workshop was a huge success. We didn’t start our projects until about 2:30 because we were having such a good time going through all the new catalog products.  Everyone loved seeing, touching, feeling the new product suites and how everything matches and coordinates together.  Seeing the stamps, the matching thinlits and framelits, the DSP and the embellishments that coordinate so well is so much fun. Then of course we had to eat a yummy lunch. Thanks Lani for the Cake Nacho!  Everyone loved it.

Everyone commented on the quality of the product.  It’s not only beautiful, it’s also of highest quality. I think Stampin’ Up! has the highest quality products and every new catalog year they out do themselves with the new product. Go to my online store to view the new catalog and all the new products.

If you weren’t able to make it to the workshop but would like to place an order you can click the “SHOP” button in my Blog or click the “shop online” link in my signature line below. Please use the new HOSTESS CODE: 34YY9BMT when placing your order.

Creativity Your Way Workshop 6/10/17

Introducing Cake Nacho!  Lani brought this amazing assortment of cake.  The bakery takes 2 x 2 inch  different pieces of cake and puts it all into one cake.
Hence the name Nacho Cake!

Croissant chicken, roast beef & ham sandwiches and our old favorites: Nacho cheese Doritos and Ruffles have ridges potato chips

Lani laughing at me and trying to concentrate on her project

Not a great angle, and the table was too small to hold all the amazing new product I’ve purchased from the new 2017-2018 catalog.
Too much fun!
Tina, also concentrating on her project

Some fun product samples in our beautiful new catalog

The best display of our new In-Colors for 2017-2019

I absolutely can’t wait to use this set! Coffee Cafe is an adorable coffee house themed set.  I love the vintage coffee pots and tea pots and coffee stained DSP.  You don’t drink coffee or tea, you say? Well it can be used for hot chocolate or really any beverage.  Super cute!

I love this french poodle.  Doesn’t she have the most adorable smile and sassy look?  Stamp and cut her out with the framelits dies or use the framelit to cut her out of the matching DSP.  Genius!
This is just too too cute.

Fifi is just a little too talented.  See how perfectly she’s navigating the balloon string on her nose?

This is Kristin.  She’s a lot like me.  She’s very methodical in her stamping.  She takes her time and makes sure her cards are just right.

This is Corina (in the red) my newest recruit. Corina is so so creative.  She can take a pre-designed card and make it look totally different by adding her special touches.  Then there’s Lorraine.  Kristin’s neighbor.  I call her my “off the rails” stamper! She is so creative and always does her own thing with the supplies on the table.

Terri is also a very creative paper crafter.  She’s an expert in “adding little touches” that make her cards stand out and just pop off the page.
We always have such a fun time at the workshops.  Talking, crafting, eating, sharing and enjoying our time together.  The next workshop details are listed below.  Don’t miss it!

March Madness Workshop 3/18/17

March Madness
Workshop 3/18/17

What a fun workshop we had yesterday.  It certainly turned out to be a fun March Madness event.  We made 5 projects pictured here.  We were having so much fun that I didn’t get a chance to take “in the making” pictures.

Let me know which one is your favorite.  Of course I love them all, but that Glimmer paper is addicting.  Enjoy the projects and let me know how perhaps you would change them up to add your personal touch to each card.

How cute are my workshop peeps!  Kristin Christensen, Janet Tentler and Sue Ruttenberg! Boy did we have a lot of fun.  There were more in attendance but like I said we were so busy creating, these were taken after some people left.

Lani (pictured), Carol and Leslyn are my buds from high school!  I won’t say how long that has been but I have to tell you that it’s the most wonderful thing to spend quality fun time with friends who you value and respect so much to keep them in your life for that long.  We re-connected after 39 years (Lani and Carol) and it feels like we never lost touch.  More memories made here!

Don’t you just love this Mini Gift Box made with our beautiful Floral Boutique DSP. I love love love the Night of Navy and Whisper White colors.

Envelope Gift Card Holder!

Thanks so much Jill Olsen and her team for sharing this cute gift card holder.  Of course you can make it for any occasion.  Who doesn’t love a gift card? Oh btw, it’s made out of an envelope! Yes, Really!!!

This adorable bunny card was inspired by our Artisan Team. I changed it up a bit by adding a mini cotton tail and a pop of color to the background.  How cute is that?

I love this card.  I CASED it from Patty Bennett another amazing Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  It’s so easy to make your own lace doily with glimmer paper to add a bit of bling!

This card was CASED and inspired by an International demonstrator (France I believe).  I will get her name and give her credit.  Even thought I could not read a word of her instructions I think it turned out perfectly as she intended it to look.  You can’t tell but the dragonfly is cut from silver foil paper.  So pretty and delicate.
