Wow it seems like summer is here already with this heat we’ve been having. Let’s stay indoors over Memorial Weekend in an air conditioned house and do some stamping and paper crafting.

Have you seen the new Annual 2022-2023 Catalog? Come to the workshop and get your own free copy. If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like a catalog, please let me know. We will be making our projects at the May workshop with stamp sets from the new catalog!

Here are the details for the next Workshop:

DATE: Saturday May 28, 2022

TIME: 12 PM to 5 PM (12:00 to 12:30 we will get settled in with our social time, drinks, supplies and workstations and I will start the workshop promptly at 12:30)

PLACE: Annabelle’s Stamping Studio – 3300 Granada Circle, Brea

My New Favorite Stamp Set

My New Favorite Stamp Set

Do I have just one favorite stamp set?

Of course not! They’re all my favorites

BUT every once in a while there will be one (or in this case 2) sets that just stand out and really tug at my heart and I just can’t stop using them. Do you have your favorite (s)? Well in this new 2021-2022 catalog I have to say that I’m obsessed with Art Gallery and Artistically Inked. These two stamp sets are absolutely stunning. They are so pretty and the DSP (Artistically Inked only) is just so beautiful. Of course, they’re both very versatile and easy to create beautiful projects with. With a little creativity (and help from your friendly Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, yours truly) just about any occasion card can be made with each one ……including masculine cards. Here are some projects I made using each of these stamp sets so you can get an idea of how awesome they really are. We’ve made these cards at past workshops and have had a great time making them.

Art Gallery Stamp Set You can’t tell, but it’s an accordion card.

I like the Artistically Inked set just a little bit more than the Art Gallery set. Just a little ink and paper and you can create a beautiful watercolored and expressionistic looked project. Wow, I love the Polished Pink ink and cardstock I used on this card. The Shaded Spruce card is also so rich looking because of the depth and richness of the color. Great for any occasion. Below I’ve listed the links for these items along with some additional supplies that you would need to make these cards. If you would like additional ideas for these sets, the Art Gallery set is on page 13 of the Annual Catalog and the Expressions in Ink are on page 96 and 97.

TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE THE CARDS: On the pink Artistically Inked card, make sure you “stamp off” the color for the leaves so that they aren’t super bright. It gives the leaves a more realistic look. Also add a dimensional under each leaf after you have curled it a bit to give it dimension. On the shaded spruce card, make sure to cut each of the print strips ¾” and the gold stripe strip ½” wide. They should also each be cut different lengths. The gold foil leaves are cut from the long leaf die in the die set. Cut the leaves apart and place them on the card.

On the Art Gallery card for the bundle of flowers cut a second set of flowers and glue it on top of the one you stamped and die cut in green. This hides the green flowers underneath and leaves you with a pretty green stem and leaves, and it give a little thickness and dimension to the flower bunch! Note, I did that on both cards.

Hello everyone!

Can you believe it’s officially Fall? This summer just flew by, for me anyway. You know what Fall means right? It means that Christmas is just around the corner (we can tell that by all the Christmas Season decorations and merchandise out in the stores)

I’m determined this year to get ahead of the game and not be rushed at the last minute in all my holiday planning and getting my projects out. And as an effort to meet the needs of my customers, I’d like your feedback so if you would please reply to this post and let me know what you’d like.

I wanted to show you a sneak peek of 2 fun cards I’ve created. I love these 3 sets and the coordinating supplies that go with them. The Toile Christmas Suite with the Toile Christmas and the Tidings All Around stamps and the dies are so versatile and beautiful. My sister and I alternate having our family Christmas dinner at our house each year and this is my year. I’m so excited that I can start planning all my special touches with the help of this beautiful Holiday Catalog.

June 22 Happy Birthday Workshop

We had such a wonderful time on Saturday at the June workshop. I want to give a special shout out to Carol Rodriguez and Lani Razo who made my birthday extra special. They brought a wonderful Nothing Bundt Cake, balloons and gifts. I’m a very blessed girl and we all had such a fun time. Thank you all for such a fun day. Here are a few pictures of the projects we made.

I shared photos of the other cards we made in the last post. We really had a great time working with the new medium daisy punch (it’s super cute) and of course I love stripes and polka dots in the card above. The Piece of Cake card above was also fun to make by adding the tag which could also be attached with removable tape so that the recipient can use the tag as a bookmark.

Hello Stampers!

I’m hoping all mothers (I include mothers of fur babies, cuz you’re a mom to them too) had a very Happy Mother’s Day! We had a wonderful time making some beautiful Mother’s Day cards at the April workshop. See below. May’s workshop will focus on Father’s Day and All Occasion projects. You don’t want to miss this workshop, and here’s why:

As you all know I moved last year and Annabelle’s Stamping Studio, got a new home. Well it’s taken me all this time to get our home somewhat settled (still not done), so I started to focus on organizing and cleaning out Annabelle’s Stamping Studio. Some of you may not know that I have been selling and exclusively using Stampin’ Up! products for 25 years on June 30. Well, let that sink in for a minute, 25 years!!!!! That includes 25 years of stamp sets, paper, ink pads, ink refills, ribbon, tools, embellishments and everything imaginable that has anything to do with paper crafting and rubber stamping and general crafting. Well I don’t think any home we would have moved to would fit everything that I have accumulated in 25 years.

Lucky for you, on the day of May’s workshop (May 25, 2019) I will be having a BLOW OUT sale on everything crafty! You will be able to buy vintage stamp sets, (Circa 1994-2018 some not opened), dies, ink pads with matching ink refills, DSP, card stock, pre-cut shaped card stock, tools, punches, Stampin’ Write Markers, die cutting machine (complete with alphabet dies), beautiful velum with matching DSP, scrapbooking supplies, scrapbooking kits, storage, pre-made projects (cards, boxes, gift packaging etc) and MUCH MUCH MORE. You don’t want to miss it.

Also at this sale I’m having a Closed Garage “Home Goods” Sale. There are a lot of home decor and household items that I’m not able to use in this house. I can’t have an open door garage sale, so I’m calling this sale a “Closed Garage “Home Goods” Sale. The garage won’t be open, but our front door will be open leading to our garage that will be open for business! Items for sale in the “Home Goods” sale include mirrors, wall pictures, hangings, kitchen items, appliances, floral arrangements, plants, decorator lamps, area rugs, end/coffee table, library table, books, workout equipment, yoga equipment (mats, towels bag etc), workout bench with dumb bell weights and MUCH MUCH MORE. Some items have never been used.
