Wait, What??? Can it be Fall already?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
I LOVE Fall!  There I said it!  I love the crisp air, I love the colors of the season (even if we don’t get a great change in CA), I love that it’s not yet time for a heavy coat, I love the comfort foods, I love the chance to make and try some Fall flavored coffee and drinks, I love that students are back in school which makes vacations sites less crowded, and lastly I like that things have slowed down a bit before the rush of the Holiday Season, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years is not quite yet upon us.

Along with all of the above things I love about Fall, I also love the fact that during this time I can re-group and spend a little more time stamping and creating.

I’ve been playing around with my September Paper Pumpkin kit and here are two fun cards that I came up with:
For this first card I’ve added our Burlap Ribbon to the card.  I think it makes a cute backdrop for the greeting. I like the layering of they different types of leaves for the focal point for this card.  I didn’t think that Cajun Craze over Blushing Bride ink pad colors would be such a great combination of colors for this Fall card.  Look at the cute Crushed Curry clothes pins and the metallic copper bakers twine.  The artists for Paper Pumpkin really come up with some very unique embellishments.
For this card I used the Petal Burst TIEF (Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) to create the background and I think it looks so cool and it’s so easy to do with the TIEF.  I added the enamel dots to the greeting to make it look like it’s attached with brads. This is one set of stamps that I’m going to use a lot after the Paper Pumpkin kit is finished.

Re-cap of the Fall into Fall Workshop!

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WORKSHOP!

What a fun time we had at the Fall into Fall workshop on Saturday. We made 6 projects, had lunch, met new friends, connected with some old friends and made some adorable projects. It was a win win…… We used the most versatile sets all of which, except one, have come from the new Holiday Catalog. We used some really cool embellishments and color combinations.  I think you’ll love them as much as we loved making them. Take a look at our finished cards and projects below:

PAINTED AUTUMN SUITE
(Off the Rails a bit)

It’s fun to go off the rails a little like we did with the blue sunflower “I’m Thankful for You” card.  I cased the idea from Carol Read on Pinterest. I’m just loving the beautiful gingham Night of Navy ribbon that makes the card pop.  It looks like it was a little difficult to make, but it was really easy.  I love how the light blue and the dark blue colors give the sunflowers so much dimension.  We actually made our own DSP and decided ourselves what type of leaves, out of the set we wanted to use. I think it’s striking and elegant in a way.

PAINTED AUTUMN SUITE
(Traditional)

I want to thank Amy Combs for the idea for this really simple traditional sunflower card. I saw how beautiful her card was and I decided to take the idea and change things up a bit.  The burlap ribbon is fun to work with, but just an FYI, it’s on back order until mid October, but if you want it, go ahead and order it an you’ll be one of the first to get it when it comes back in stock.  I’m loving the Painted Autumn Suite because it’s so versatile and so is the Painted Autumn DSP.  Note that this is the same set I used on the blue card above but the idea that Amy cut the sunflowers out of the 12 x 12 sheet and then fussy cut around them is such a genius. I didn’t think I would ever enjoy fussy cutting again, but actually it was kind of fun. I think the Metallic Enamel Shapes add the perfect touch.  What do you think?

SPOOKY NIGHT SUITE
(Card and Mini Treat Box)
Each year I look forward to seeing the new designs that Stampin’ Up! comes up for the Holidays.  Their ideas are always awesome, and this year is no exception.  Look at this adorable owl perched in the tree. This particular DSP sheet is made to have you cut out the 3″ x 3″ tree squares. The owl fits perfectly in the tree with her adorable hat (also cut from the DSP)  Another cool idea, turn the tree 1/4 turn clockwise, and you’ll be able to punch a black cat out with the Cat Punch and put it in the tree. You gotta love the Cat Punch!  And how cute are the Tiny Treat Boxes? They’re just the right size for a little treat.  They’re super easy to decorate and fun to receive. There’s the Cat Punch! Ha I just love her bedazzled choker.  I used the Vintage Crochet Trim and the rhinestone accents to make her choker. I think she’s super cute.  Used DSP as the belly band for the box and you’re done.  I’d say the Spooky Night Suite is a huge hit this year.

I had to include some glitz and shine to the projects for this workshop.  I fell in love with this gorgeous Year of Cheer Suite. It works for a whole lot of occasions. It’s wintery enough for Christmas, glitzy enough for ringing in the New Year, and elegant enough for beautiful  wedding projects.  In this project I decided to simply go with a “For You” card to show that you can also make a general greeting card. It’s clean and simple but yet has a real wow factor to it.  I used “Vertical Greetings” for the words and that snowflake is just so pretty. I don’t think you can add too much bling to the card.  It just keeps shining!  P.S. I’m going to have to work on taking a good shiny sparkly picture with my iPhone.  The picture does not do this card justice.

Year of Cheer Total glitz

WHOLE LOT OF LOVELY SUITE

This card is really “A Whole Lot of Lovely” isn’t it?  It’s made with the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite featured in our Annual Catalog on page 86-87. The colors are striking yet soft and the Dynamic Leaves TIEF (embossing folder) is so cool.  To get the gorgeous deep embossed look on the card, first spray the card with a light mist of water, then run it through the Big Shot. You can see how deep the leaves are embossed into the paper. Such a beautiful result and such an easy technique.  Gotta have it!  Thank you Janet for designing such a beautiful “Thinking of You” card.

CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE WORKSHOPS?

Do you love the projects we make each month at my workshops? Do you work on weekends, or have other commitments that prevent you from attending?

Well I have the perfect solution for you. You can now purchase the projects that we make each month and make them on your own at your own leisure. I started this option a couple of months ago (unofficially) because each month I had some requests for the projects because they couldn’t make it to the workshop.

If you let me know by Thursday before the workshop you can order your packets.  You will receive all the materials we use at the workshop pre-prepped and ready to be put together. The cost for the materials pack is $15*.  No more FOMO! (Fear of missing out) except I can’t package all the fun we will have at the workshop and of course the awesome lunch and door prizes!

* For kit based workshops the price will vary depending on the cost of the kit

KEEP CHECKING THIS BLOG FOR THE NEXT WORKSHOP DATE!

Paper Pumpkin – August Giftable Greetings Refill

Available Now!

I’m sure all of you have been enjoying this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit. There are a couple of reasons I love the August kit. First, the kit comes with a beautiful giftable box for the cards and beautiful Calypso Coral ribbon to tie around it. What a great idea! Second, I love that Stampin’ Up! has made the refill kit available for only $8. That comes out to about $1.15 per card including the box.

I’ve already ordered 3 refill kits for myself because I love that it’s such a versatile kit. Get your refills before they sell out. While supplies last!

If attached some samples below that I’ve made from the kit.  A couple of them are made the way the kit is designed and a couple of them I’ve changed up a little bit.  I’ve added some ribbon and used some extra flowers on the “Thanks” card.

I added ribbon and rhinestones to the Thanks card to give it a little
different look.  I also added extra flowers to it.
The Stylized Birthday stamp fits perfectly in the oval cut out
from the kit.  I like it as a birthday card.

“Featured Stamp Set/Bundle”

I wanted to show you some cards I made with the “Featured Stamp Set/Bundle”.  Oh So Eclectic.  All of these cards are from the same Naturally Eclectic DSP pack and the stamp set and thinlits. I used the Thinlits to cut all the flowers, leaves and the lattice.  I also love the matching ribbon, and the colors are so pretty.  They were all easy to make. This is the kind of set that makes you want to keep going and going to make the card even better.  There is so much variety within the bundle itself.  I didn’t even use up all the different designs of paper so I have so many more options to work with and different combinations.

I’m going to focus on a different set every couple of weeks and put it in my “Featured Stamp Set/Bundle” section here on the Blog.  Once I post which set that will be, If you make a project with that set I will post it here. At the end of the time for that set, I will put your name in for a drawing for card stock.

(Cased from Sofia a German demonstrator
I used different ribbon)

Note: I listed the  sets (wood mount or clear mount) separately and also as a bundle.  Remember when you buy them together as a bundle you save 10%.  I’ve also listed the Thinlits separately.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Workshop Recap!

We had such a great time on Saturday when I held the Soft Saying All-Inclusive Card Kit Workshop.  The comment I heard was, “I like that we each had our own card kit and we’re able to wok at our own pace.

That’s exactly what I loved about this kit as well.  Everything is included in the box (except the glue which I provided) so everyone had everything they needed to make these beautiful cards.  They’re all designed and ready to go, so we spent the afternoon enjoying ourselves and having such a fun time.  You can even buy a refill for this kit if you want more than 2 each of 10 designs! Order below!

This is Noelle showing off one of the kit favorites. I like the lattice on the card and the glimmer paper gold leaves

This is Kristin making the extra card I had for the group to do.  The card looked so complicated to make but it was so easy.  It was made with the Oh so Eclectic set, the Naturally Eclectic DSP and the Pretty Label Punch.  Shown below

I CASED the card from the front of the Annual Catalog.  I didn’t have the Pool Party Bakers Twine they used so I kicked it up a notch and added Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.  I like mine better.  :0)

This is another card from the kit.  Very simple but it really pops with that gold glimmer paper.

This is Lani and Corina (SIL’s).  They both have such a talent for creating something different or what I like to call “off the rails” with the supplies provided.

The kit comes with full color easy to follow instructions

Don’t you just love this card display holder? I got it from Magnolia.  It was on sale and I had a first time buyer discount of 15%.  I got a great deal on it.  It’s actually a chips holder for a restaurant but it actually works great for displaying cards

Well I couldn’t forget to show probably the best part of the workshop, the food.  Look at that great looking fruit.  We had Subway sandwiches, chips and cookies for dessert

What is Naturally Eclectic?

Get creative with the

 Naturally Eclectic Suite

A beautiful variety of bright colors and bold textures

When I first saw this Suite (pg 132-133) of course I fell in love with it.  When I saw the beautiful samples on the front of the catalog, I had to buy the set and make them.  I love the colors and the whole style of the set.  The DSP is just beautiful.  It coordinates with so many colors. The patterns include shapes like jewels, elongated drops of colors, arrows, watercolor stripes, flowers and more. Just like it’s name, Eclectic! You have to buy the bundle so that you can get the matching Thinlits. The thinlits set includes 13 cutting frames.  And if you note, one of the leaf thinlits also scores/embosses around the leaves.  So cool.
Take a look at my attempt to CASE (copy and share everything) 2 of the samples from the front of the catalog. For the second card I didn’t have the same ribbon that they used so I used Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ finely woven ribbon and actually I like it better. There is so much more to do with this set so I’m looking forward to working with it and seeing what I can come up with. Once you buy this bundle, please send me the pictures of your works of art and I’ll post your cards or projects.

 Soft Sayings All-Inclusive Card Kit
I really do love this kit.  I love the variety of colors in the kit.  For example, Lemon Lime Twist with Basic Gray and Berry Burst with Basic Gray and Powder Pink with Tranquil Tide.  I also like the gold glimmer paper that adds a pop of shimmer, and it’s so easy to make.

We will be making this kit at the workshop this weekend but if you didn’t sign up for the workshop, the kit is available for you to purchase and you can make the cards on your own.  What is great about this kit and all of our kits, you can create our own designs from the supplies in the kit or follow the suggested designs that come with complete color instructions. Be creative with the kit and go for it. You can also buy the refill kit which includes everything except the stamp set and the ink. You get all the same fun die cuts, and embellishments to make something wonderful!

The kit comes with 3 sized cards with matching envelopes.  Shown here is the small note card in Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Gray
This is the medium sized notecard.  It’s made with Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide.  I love the die cut trellis embellishment.  Notice the matching envelope flap.

New Updates!

NEW UPDATES
(July 6, 2017)

I wanted to let you know about this product clarification and an upcoming back order product.
                         *******Embossing Paste (pg. 201)*******

The measurements listed in the catalog for the Embossing Paste (item 141979) are incorrect. These measurements that are found on the packaging are accurate: 4 fl oz/118 ml.
These measurements (fluid ounces and milliliters) refer to volume (how much space the paste takes up) not weight. The paste is 4 fl oz/118 ml when packaged and may settle and become more condensed while shipped or over time. This does not affect the use of the paste or how long it will last.
I also wanted to let you know that we use a jar with a wider opening and leave some empty space so there’s plenty of room to use the palette knives (item 142808) to scoop the paste out of the jar.
If you have any questions on this product let me know.
**********Daisy Punch (pg. 206)********
Our Daisy Punch is going on back order tomorrow morning and won’t be available to order until August 1. If you’re thinking about purchasing this item please place your order online today or give me a call and I will order it for you. You don’t really want to wait that long for it. It’s such an amazing and versatile punch people just have to have it.
***All-Inclusive Soft Sayings Card Kit Video***
I will be doing a video in the next few days showing and unpacking the Soft Sayings Card Kit. I want to show you what you get in the kit, what it looks like and also how beautiful the cards are. I’ll post it here and on Facebook. This is the video that Stampin’ Up! put out on the card kit but I want to do one as well to show you the items close up.
Stay tuned for my version!  If you’d like to attend the workshop please RSVP by July 15. All the details about the workshop are on my blog.  Also, if you can’t make it to the workshop you can still let me know if you’d like to have the kit and I will order it for you and you can do it on your own.  It comes with complete color step by step instructions.
Thanks guys, see you soon!

Creativity Your Way 2017-2018 Catalog Launch Recap

Yesterday’s workshop was a huge success. We didn’t start our projects until about 2:30 because we were having such a good time going through all the new catalog products.  Everyone loved seeing, touching, feeling the new product suites and how everything matches and coordinates together.  Seeing the stamps, the matching thinlits and framelits, the DSP and the embellishments that coordinate so well is so much fun. Then of course we had to eat a yummy lunch. Thanks Lani for the Cake Nacho!  Everyone loved it.

Everyone commented on the quality of the product.  It’s not only beautiful, it’s also of highest quality. I think Stampin’ Up! has the highest quality products and every new catalog year they out do themselves with the new product. Go to my online store to view the new catalog and all the new products.

If you weren’t able to make it to the workshop but would like to place an order you can click the “SHOP” button in my Blog or click the “shop online” link in my signature line below. Please use the new HOSTESS CODE: 34YY9BMT when placing your order.

Creativity Your Way Workshop 6/10/17

Introducing Cake Nacho!  Lani brought this amazing assortment of cake.  The bakery takes 2 x 2 inch  different pieces of cake and puts it all into one cake.
Hence the name Nacho Cake!

Croissant chicken, roast beef & ham sandwiches and our old favorites: Nacho cheese Doritos and Ruffles have ridges potato chips

Lani laughing at me and trying to concentrate on her project

Not a great angle, and the table was too small to hold all the amazing new product I’ve purchased from the new 2017-2018 catalog.
Too much fun!
Tina, also concentrating on her project

The best display of our new In-Colors for 2017-2019

I absolutely can’t wait to use this set! Coffee Cafe is an adorable coffee house themed set.  I love the vintage coffee pots and tea pots and coffee stained DSP.  You don’t drink coffee or tea, you say? Well it can be used for hot chocolate or really any beverage.  Super cute!

I love this french poodle.  Doesn’t she have the most adorable smile and sassy look?  Stamp and cut her out with the framelits dies or use the framelit to cut her out of the matching DSP.  Genius!
This is just too too cute.

Fifi is just a little too talented.  See how perfectly she’s navigating the balloon string on her nose?

This is Kristin.  She’s a lot like me.  She’s very methodical in her stamping.  She takes her time and makes sure her cards are just right.

This is Corina (in the red) my newest recruit. Corina is so so creative.  She can take a pre-designed card and make it look totally different by adding her special touches.  Then there’s Lorraine.  Kristin’s neighbor.  I call her my “off the rails” stamper! She is so creative and always does her own thing with the supplies on the table.

Terri is also a very creative paper crafter.  She’s an expert in “adding little touches” that make her cards stand out and just pop off the page.
We always have such a fun time at the workshops.  Talking, crafting, eating, sharing and enjoying our time together.  The next workshop details are listed below.  Don’t miss it!

A few of you have told me that you’re having problems getting onto my Blog/website.  It’s really is easy, I think sometimes the different browsers we use blocks some sites from coming up or it gets caught up some how on the internet.

When you receive this email from me it’s only my current post for the week.  It’s not my full blog site.  If you click on “Annabelle’s Stampin’ Studio” at the beginning of my post, that  link will take you to my full Blog. There you can view my online store, view the catalog, see all the current specials, view samples and get ideas, check the clearance rack, and much more.  One of the nice things about visiting my Blog (you can let your friends know that don’t have Facebook) is that they can see my Facebook posts on my Blog, without having a Facebook account.

Another way to easily get to my Blog anytime is to save it in your Favorites Bar on your phone, iPad, laptop or computer. Please, Please, Please let me know if you are having trouble and I’ll help you log on.

BLOG POST CONTEST: For every 5 friends you recommend and they elect to receive my posts by email (“Follow Me By Email” button on my Blog) you will receive 5 sheets of colored cardstock and 5 envelopes FREE (includes the new In-Colors).  Rules below:

1. Give me 5 friend’s emails who have indicated they’d like to receive my posts
2. They must verify their email once I send the request to follow me by email

Clarification on Retiring Bundles!

I want to make a correction to my last post where I indicated that some items (Bundles=stamps & thinlits purchased together) were retiring.
Some of you were asking about or Retiring Bundles, so I want to let you know  it means that some of the stamp sets and the Thinlits or Framelits die cutters that are made for the stamp sets, will still be offered in our new catalog but will not be offered in a “Bundle”.  If you buy them together before May 31, 2017 you will get 10% off the set or bundle.  So the “Bundle” price is retiring, NOT the stamps and dies.  So you will still be able to buy them individually or together but without the discount.  If you like the set and the 10% discount make your choices by May 31.

View all Retiring Bundles and Retiring Stamp Sets

Make sure you review the Retiring Stamps section and the Retiring Bundles section to make sure you are seeing what is retiring and what will stay in the 2017-2018 catalog because some of the stamps and the dies will be retiring.
I know it can get a little confusing so click the “Shop” button (in the Blog) or below in my signature line to see all the “Retiring Bundles” and all our Retiring
products.

Remember the MAY SPECIAL!

They’re Going Fast! – May Special!

There are about 3-1/2 weeks left of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog.  There are still some items that have not sold out BUT they are going fast.  Make sure you check out our Retiring List and snag some great deals.  Some items are up to 50% off.

Also don’t forget about the Clearance Rack where some of the items are 60% off.  You can’t beat that.  I can’t wait until the new catalog goes live on June 1, but until then I keep looking at the current catalog and reviewing each item to make sure I don’t miss a good deal.  I’m posting the cards that we made at the last workshop using Retiring Products.  If you’ve made any cards or projects with some Retiring products, send them to me and I’ll post them to give everyone some ideas.

I’m also listing some items that I think are the best deals on the retiring list.  These are my favorites and they are all 40% to 50% off.  As a suggestion, buy them for your supply stock or get them as gifts.  Of course it’s NOT the entire list of 40% to 50% off but just some of my favorites.
